Passion and compassion are the key driving force in all of Rasika’s work. Ever since 2000, alongside her active work life, she has been also involved in different roles with a few not-for-profit organisations.
She was the Chapter Chair for Yi, Pune in 2010-11. Young Indians (Yi) is the Youth arm of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). She went on to be the National Co-Chair for Education at Yi. She has been part of the official Indian CII- Yi delegation to the G20 YEA Summit in France(2010) & Mexico (2011). She was also a delegate at the CAAYE (Commonwealth Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs) Summit in Mumbai & an official delegate on the CAAYE Indo- Pakistan bilateral summit under the aegis of Aman ki Asha.
She has been actively involved with the Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) in Pune as the founder spousal chair for the Pune Chapter.
Rasika has been the brand ambassador for Muskaan, an NGO that works for the economic independence of lesser privileged women. She is a governing panel member of Tigerlily, a Pune local club of about 100 HNI women and also a member of the FICCI FLO.
She has been a popular anchor to interview celebrities and stars who visit Pune, for the different platforms that she is engaged with. That said, she has interviewed a Master Chef, actors, fashion designers and corporate head honchos for various gatherings.
As an extension of her active work life, Rasika has been invited to speak at various forums and at times individually to address women and men on ‘grooming/styling at the work place’ at corporate houses of Oracle, Suzlon, Emcure etc. She has been a guest speaker at the Franchise India Retail Summit and has given keynote addresses to student gatherings of various fashion schools on the Business of Fashion in India. She has been on the jury one season, to select showcasing designers at the Lakme Fashion Week and was also a panelist on a discussion on the Business of Fashion organised by the Lakme Fashion Week yet another season.
Rasika has been felicitated with the Star Youth Achiever Award in Fashion at the Global Youth Marketing Summit in Mumbai, amongst many other accolades coming her way in a career span of about 17 years.
Before starting her enterprise in Fashion, she has worked for about 8 years in Education, having been a co-founder of 3 successful campuses of 2 schools in Pune. The illustrious Indira Group of Institutes is what her husband, Chetan’s family runs as a Trust, managing about 17 schools and colleges in Pune.
Rasika has had a journey akin to a serial entrepreneur, and believes in contributing to positive growth stories around in a giving way, whether with people or with projects. No wonder then that she identifies with certain emotions that make her have ‘her own tribe’ whether in fashion at large or in social context #rasikastribe
