I feel like over the course of my 20+ years of a career, I have worn multiple hats. Maybe because my name itself alludes to the Rasik in me! Passion and compassion, my complimentary interests, perseverance, and quest for perfection are what I would call as the keys to achieving the humble success thus far.

Early in my career, I worked for about 8 years with the renowned Pune-based Indira Group of Institutes, a family trust with schools, graduate & postgraduate colleges in Pune in the capacity of a Trustee in areas of strategy, planning, administration & marketing. During this time, I was the Founder Editor of Tapasya, the journo-magazine of the Group, and co-founded Indira Kids & Indira National School which today educates more than 3500 children from KG onwards.

In 2008, after a short sabbatical, I started Rudraksh, Pune’s first multi-designer studio, addressing the lack of availability of luxury designer clothes and accessories in the local market, inspired by Indian fashion design talent and the local demand-supply gap. Ever since, I have enjoyed being the bridge between more than 300 known and lesser-known designers and a loyal, growing client base within and even outside of Pune. It has been a rich experience in luxury retail.

I can share that hard work has had no substitute ever, and it was a rewarding feeling to receive the Star Youth Achiever Award in Fashion, at the Global Youth Marketing Forum in Mumbai. I have been invited as a speaker at various forums including the Franchise India Retail summit, CII, Yi, multiple fashion schools, a panel discussion at Lakme Fashion Week, and more and I have always been happy to share my learnings and experiences.

Apart from my professional achievements, I have been very actively involved with social & entrepreneurial organisations. Community engagements have brought in a richer exposure to networks across the world and an experience of working with peers from different backgrounds, something that I truly enjoy. I do believe in Indian talent and its potential.

I would say that agility to adapt to market scenarios has been a game-changer for me as I lead my business staying true to the goals and the purpose of it. I hope to bring value to you more than what you would ask me for!
